One of the attractions to develop applications for BlackBerry was there leading edge support for Adobe AIR. Adobe AIR is a platform neutral way to develop mobile apps across multiple vendor devices. We were a leading contributor to this effort. It is sad to report that BlackBerry will no longer support applications built on Adobe AIR after the release of 10.3 of the BB10 OS. So after the release, our apps will no longer be available and we assume runnable on the device. There is nothing we can do about this decision from BlackBerry. We don’t know the details why the decision was made. We apologize to our loyal users that contributed and appreciated our apps thru the years. You may share your frustration with BlackBerry if you like.
Thank you again.
We ported over our first BlackBerry 10 app to Android telephone devices. It went pretty smooth. If you have an Android device, please download it and give it a shot. We will continue to keep the apps in sync.
MapQuest routing servers made a change to their interface that prevents Magellan Compass from working. We have resolved the issue and are pushing out version 4.8.1 today. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Version 4.6.3 of Magellan Compass has been released for BB10 OS 10.2. There was some issue that prevented the app to fully load under 10.2 on Q10 devices. The app has bee re-packaged and seems to run fine on the Q10 devices. Both the full and trial version has been updated.
Keep on Swimming, swimmer time management application for BB10, has been updated for OS 10.2. The mystery of why earlier version of the app stop behaving properly under the latest 10.2 update is still unknown, but re-packaging it seem to resolve it.
Version 1.9.1 of Papillon Converter has been updated for OS 10.2. Though this app did not experience the same issues as our other apps did on 10.2, we re-packaged it just in case for general consumption.
Version 1.2.3 of Papillon Currency Converter has been updated for BB10 OS version 10.2. The app mysteriously did not load all the way with the new OS update. Though the mystery still exists, the app now works fine under 10.2.
Tipster 1.3.2 has been released for 10.2 version of the Q10 devices. Earlier version did not run properly for an unknown reason. This updates refreshes everything to the current OS version and seems to work as expected.
Version 1.3.4 has been updated for BB10 10.2 for all devices, but especially Q10 devices that did not allow the app run properly for some unknown reason. Everything is running fine with this release. This release is only available for devices running OS version 10.2+.
